The HR Administrator provides essential administrative support to the HR Function across the retail business. 

The role supports the day- to - day delivery of HR services including employee administration, HR system management, general HR support for store managers and employees and support with HR projects.

The HR Administrator ensures that employees records are accurate, HR processes run efficiently, and all documentation is maintained in line with company policies and employment legislation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update employee records and HR systems ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Prepare and issue employee letters and HR documentation including probation letters and general correspondence.
  • Support the HR team with general administrative tasks and documentation.

HR Systems & Reporting

  • Maintain HR databases and ensure employee information is kept up to date.
  • Produce HR reports such as Store Audits, headcounts, absences reports, and recruitment updates when required.

Manager Support

  • Act as a first point of contact for HR — related queries from store managers, escalating where appropriate.
  • Provide guidance on HR processes and direct queries to the relevant HR team.

Compliance & Best Practice

  • Ensure HR processes are carried out in accordance with company policies and employment legislation.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality when handling employee information.
  • Support the HR team during audits, policy updates, and HR initiatives.

Key Skills & Experiences

Essential

  • Previous experience in a HR administrative role.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information professionally
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Desirable

  • Previous experience working in HR within a retail or multi - site environment.
  • Knowledge of HR systems or employee databases.
  • Knowledge of employment legislation and HR processes.
